‘Elrond’ was an half-elven ruler of Rivendell and great-grandson of Lúthien. Being given the opportunity to live in the world of either man or elf, he chose to reside in the world of the Elves.
Living eternally, Elrond saw and partook in many great wars throughout the ages fighting against Sauron amongst man, elves and dwarves.
