‘Arwen’ the ancient elven princess lived in the legacy of Lúthien and was imbued by her same great beauty. Her love, Aragorn, thought he had fallen into a dream upon first laying eyes on Arwen mistaking her for the mystical Lúthien.
Choosing to become mortal to be with Aragorn, she gave up her place in the Blessed Realm of eternal life to be with her love. Finally, after The War of the Ring and as King of Gondor, Aragorn marries Arwen on Midsummer's Day.
